It has come to my attention, as the result of his sister’s recent death, that Jerry Wallace of the class of 1950 passed away July 21, 2005 in Vincennes, Knox, Indiana. He was the sister of Janice (Wallace) Draper who was also in the class of 1950. Please see Janice’s obituary for further details about his family.

We recently learned of the death of Donnie John December 15, 2015. Donnie was 75 when he died. He was living in Oklahoma at the time of his death just a few months after attending the 2015 all class reunion and visiting with his classmates.
Donald’s brother Richard “Dickie” John, class of 1956 passed away in 1997.
Davetta Langham has reported that her classmate, Marla, passed away in her sleep on March 28, 2019. Memorial services, were held May 28 @ 3 pm. 2361 E 29th St. Oakand, CA 94606
Sorry to share the news that an old friend, Laurence Wright, passed away a couple of weeks ago [June 12, 2019]. His celebration of life will be held in Ridgecrest at Johns Pizza at 11 am on Saturday the 20th of July. Hope to see old friends and classmates there.

It is with a Heavy Heart that we let our friends and Family know that at 6:40pm on Monday April 9, 2018 we sent our Uncle David R. Heter into God’s Arms. David Heter was surrounded by his family and he went peacefully. David Heter had been home on Enloe Hospice care for about 4 weeks. He turned to God’s hands on Saturday morning and finally passed on Monday. David’s daughter Nicole Taber, his brother Duane Heter, his sister in law Trina Teresa Reynoso Heter, his nieces Diana Cole, Debbie Dewitt, Kristen Wacaster, Dar Cole and his Great niece Mara DeWitt were with David Heter in his last Weeks, Days, and hours. We will forever miss and Love David Heter and know he is in Gods Love now.

Mickey Deretta Brannon, 68, of Arkoma, OK passed away Wednesday, November 2, 2016 in Rogers, AR. Mickey was born September 27, 1948 in Altus, OK to Wilburn David & Thelma Louise (Richardson) Rogers.
She was preceded in death by her father.
Survivors include her husband, Bobby J. of the home; daughter, Melissa Brannon Bartels & husband John of Bella Vista, AR; sons, Bryan J. Brannon of Fanshawe, OK, mother of grandchildren, Lori Jene Heaton; grandchildren, Masey Rebecca & Kynli Grace Brannon, Kassidy Makenna Brannon Bartels; sister, Neala Montgomery of Vacaville, CA; brother, David Rogers of Kihei, Hawaii; mother, Thelma Lou Rogers of Roland, OK; other relatives, loved ones and friends.
Services will be 2 pm, Thursday, November10, 2016 at Evans Chapel of Memories, Poteau, OK with Sally McGowen officiating. Interment will follow in Fanshawe Cemetery, Fanshawe, OK.
Mrs. Carol Elizabeth Sorensen, 79, of Ridgecrest passed away on Feb. 24, 2015 at Palmdale Regional Hospital after a battle with cancer. She was a resident of Kern County since 1979.
A memorial service took place on Saturday, March 7, at 1 p.m. at Desert Christian Center, 100 E. Bataan Ave., Ridgecrest, with a celebration of life potluck following at the American Legion. She was cremated.
She was born on Aug. 27, 1935, in Minneapolis, Minn. She was a retired waitress and bartender, and was also part of the American Legion Auxiliary and an Inyokern Senior Citizen Board member and weekly servant. She loved yard-saling, camping, fishing, gardening, Bingo, spending time with family and friends and chatting on the phone with loved ones, whom she called daily.
She is survived by her husband Keith Sorensen, of Ridgecrest; children Sharon Vinson-Flores of Ridgecrest, Martha Kennedy and husband Kory of Ulm, Mont., Linda Spears of Bakersfield, Nancy DeGano of Ridgecrest, David and wife Lori Sorensen of Ridgecrest and Linda and Jony Sorensen of Ridgecrest; siblings Teresa Arkenburg of Rialto, Calif., David Akam of Seattle, Mary “Lulu” Mayfield of Yucaipa, Margaret “Mippy” Rameriz of Rockford, Ill., Diana Gonzales of Calimesa, Calif., and Donald Akam of Ridgecrest; 21 grandchildren, 53 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by son Charles Pounds, parents Frank Fremal Akam and Elizabeth Bernice Akam, and brother Frank Akam.

Judith Ann “Judy” Johnson (nee Bueltmann) died on April 24, 2019 in Vancouver, WA, at the age of 81 after a valiant fight with Alzheimer’s disease.
Judy was born on November 1, 1938 in St. Louis, MO to Ed and Mary Lou Bueltmann. The family moved to Trona, Ca in 1947. Judy graduated from Trona High School in 1956 and attended Chaffey College in San Bernardino. She met Logan Johnson in Trona and they were soon married in Reno, NV in 1957. The couple made their home in Trona where Judy worked in the central offices at the Trona High School. They had three children in Trona before relocating to Vancouver, WA.
Judy is survived by her husband of 62 years, Logan Johnson; two sons, Howard Johnson (Kathleen) and Jeff Johnson (Tammy) of Vancouver; daughter Jill Greiner (Steve) of Portland; brother Ed Bueltmann (Phyllis) of Lake Isabella, CA; and sisters Linda Kaletka (Jim) and Laurie Holte (Bruce) of Tucson, AZ; and two granddaughters.
A memorial to celebrate Judy’s life was held in Vancouver, WA on May 12th at the home of Howard and Kathleen Johnson.
