I swam there with my boy scout troop, probably around 1982 or 83. Our troop was from Santa Barbara, CA and we were returning from a trip to Death Valley. I remember the pool clearly.
I lived in trona from the late 1050’s to 1966 when I went back years later and saw how they closed it off I couldn’t figure out how it could possibly cause such health problems as to warrant any closer. When I lived there it was sectioned out for different age groups there was the babie pool the 3 ft the 4 ft and the larger L shape 6 and over. By the way I’m now sixty four and have never had any illness from swimming in the best community pool I’ve ever been to. I have so many wonderful memories of Vally wells. I cried to see it all closed up.
I so swam in the baby pool till I was allowed in the 3’ section then to the deep pool. My parents owned the bakery in the grocery store. I have never had any illnesses as well & swam in it for years & I am now 68. My last name is also Reynolds
