Up until these houses were built Westend residents lived houses that were right next to the plant.

Trona (my home town1955-1960) was a WONDERFUL place to grow up. Loved marching in THS drill team. The band and drill teams were terrific! Such an honor to be a participant. PUG was a terrific
conductor/instructor.choreographer. Happy days!
I also enjoyed working under Mr. Elliott on the School Newspaper. There were only a few issues, but fun while it lasted. In my memory THS football team was legendary. I’m sure there a those who would argue; but they’d be wrong. Wow! Okay, I admit it. Along with many others, I was a little Trona girl.
